Spring Palette Sew Along

I am taking part in the Spring Palette Sew Along over at Collette Patterns.

I am currently in the mood to sew and have collected a few vintage patterns that I am dying to try out, I also have some fabric that will work wonderfully, so costs are down. Also who doesn't need to do something to feel that spring is actually on its way?

We have to choose a colour palette and put a mood or inspiration board together, then say how many pieces we want to make. I am aiming for three pieces, a knee skirt, a long skirt and a simple bateau neck top in maybe a stripe or polka dot. I am going to use an accent colour on buttons, trimming and maybe some stitch details. I am still working out the details, but I am feeling inspired.

This my colour inspiration, fabulous huh?

This is my colour palette, I already have the cream and sea green fabric in a delicious crepe, navy because I love navy and then the yellow is my accent colour. Are you feeling the spring yet? (I have also found the best site to make colour palettes and patterns that can then be printed on fabric for sewing or canvas for artwork...I am so in love with them. Colour Lovers, try them, it will be love!)

This is my inspiration for the actual pieces. I am loving a fullish skirt shape and clean crisp prints, with the odd bow accent. A nice mix and match of easy wear pieces, I hope.

If you fancy joining in or just want to have a look for some spring inspiration, head on over to Collette Patterns to learn more. They also sell patterns and have sewing tutorials so they are always worth a look.

Happy Thursday lovelies and now you know what I will be doing for the rest of the day. What will you be up to today?
