The Lesbian Lion

#PFW - March 3rd Review

Cacharel:

This collection is filled with beautiful casualwear with interesting touches of geometric prints here and there, as well as stunningly polished solids for a girl on the go! I love these looks! It’s super cute and classic while having interesting fabrications and prints that add something special to the solids. It has a 50s/60s traveling woman vibe, and it’s lovely! How can you go wrong with a suit jacket jumpsuit? Pretty, polished, and fun!

Haider Ackermann:

This collection starts out so strong, and is maintained through the entire show! I love the blacks in the beginning; so polished! I love the innovative and huge waist belts, and stunning lines and silhouettes throughout the show. There are stunning separates that can easily be combined with this beautiful palate (yellows, reds, blues, so pretty!). There is so much emphasis on the waist in all of these looks, and I love that; they’re pretty slimming! It’s just an overall pretty collection with polish and great commercial appeal, but is still interesting with new ideas. Polished innovation!

Viktor & Rolf:

This collection has tons of movement, some bulky, some tightness, but all strong! It has all of the makings of Viktor & Rolf’s classic playful and interesting nature while still being refined and gorgeous. It starts out with flowing, lightweight separates and bulkier dresses/coats. There is plenty of sheer playing as the show continues. Once it moves into the furs, the true playfulness comes out! Huge fur coats with cut outs and sheers; really stunning! The collection mixes demure prints, but is mostly solid. Plenty of textiles, too! Playfulness refined!

Honorable Mentions:

Jean Pal Gaultier – Polished, bold, strong, beautiful collection!

Tsumori Chisato – Blues everywhere, plenty of graphics, prints, and fun!
