Simplistic Chic. This is the easiest day-night look you'll ever wear! You don't even have to change a thing! It's versatile enough that you can throw it on in the morning to go out for brunch or do some shopping and keep it on until you go out with friends or on a date in the evening! The rich navy color compliments any skin tone and the shape falls around the body in the most flattering way! This belt actually came with the dress. Typically, I don't wear the belts that come with clothing because most of what I've seen don't look quite right with the outfit or are some kind of cheap, plastic-y material. This belt I absolutely adore and actually caught my eye before the dress that it was wrapped around! The color combination is just so perfect and the gold buckle is the perfect hint of shine, it really brightens up the whole look. If you haven't heard the rule of drawing attention to your smallest point then you want to take note of this here. You want to accentuate your waist to make your entire frame look thinner, it's the most wonderful illusion ever! The best way to do that is with a belt and with a dress like this, you want a nice neutral one, preferably with texture or sheen since the dress--with the exception of pleating--is extremely plain.
To accessorize your super-simple look you want to add dimension without overwhelming the simplistic style. To do this you want to play with coordinating colors, textures, and/or jewelry. This satchel adds the perfect touch to this look, its structured lines compliment the classic shape of the dress and colors corresponding to the beige of the belt and navy dress. A glittering statement ring infuses a slight shimmer that blends nicely with the outfit. As far as shoes go, I'm always a fan of a good nude pump. With a ladylike dress like this I think they're the perfect choice. However, since the dress is a solid color and there isn't a whole lot going on with the rest of the look, you could do a bolder shoe with this if you feel like you just need a little something extra. My recommendation would be a pump or peep-toe pump with a neutral or navy print or texture! Don't go overboard though, or your look will become more night-time than day-time and my post title will be completely and totally inaccurate... so don't prove me wrong!:)
